Tyrese Gibson recently won an ugly child support dispute with his ex-wife Norma Gibson.

According to reports, the legal battle was over an increased child support request by Norma, the mother of the former couple’s 5-year-old daughter Shayla, who claimed she needed more money each month because her ex-husband is an absentee father “who consistently blows off daddy duties.”

In his defense, Tyrese detailed his daughter’s recent 5th birthday party — complete with 300 guests and more than 200 gifts — to the court. Along with throwing elaborate parties, the TGT signer revealed that he pays for Shayla’s private school, nanny, clothes and gifts for the holidays.

Tyrese’s bid worked. TMZ reprots that the judge sided with him and denied Norma’s request.

The Gibsons currently share custody of their daughter, however Tyrese has publicly stated that he’s seeking full guardianship. Take a look at eight celebrity dads who were successful in gaining custody of their mini-mes below.
