Kerry Washington Opens Up About Pregnancy

Kerry Washington has always been very private about her personal life (remember her secret marriage to Nnamdi Asomugha) but, in a rare moment of vulnerability, the “Scandal” star opened up about her pregnancy and upbringing to Jimmy Kimmel.

Kerry gushed over all the good and fatty food she’s able to eat now that she’s pregnant but keeps it healthy because they’re still shooting this season of “Scandal.”

Did you know Kerry’s mom didn’t want her to become an actress? “My mother cried,” she revealed. Like most parents, Kerry’s mother wanted her to become a doctor or a lawyer but when Kerry proved that her acting skills could pay for things (ie: college), she was more accepting of Kerry’s career choice.

Kerry had landed a theater scholarship that she says opened her eyes to roles like the time she had to pay a frog in the play “Croak: The Last Frog.”

That’s dedication.

Prince Coming To “The Arsenio Hall Show”

“The Arsenio Hall Show” is about to go purple!

Prince, the oh holy one, invited himself via messenger (Prince doesn’t do sunlight) to the late night show where he demanded Arsenio give his “letter bearing clone a hug and a pound” while he waited.

“Just say the word and we will bring our whole crew over to your place and do a performance you will never forget. Just in case you haven’t heard, I’ve been practicing and I’ve gotten pretty good now,” Prince wrote.

So when will this shebang go down? Next week, Wednesday!

Man In Black Face Insults Kim K

Here we were under the impression that once you got engaged, or involved in a serious relationship for that matter, that all of the outside dating stopped. That is, unless you’re Kim Kadashian, who is engaged to Kanye West, but went to the Vienna Ball as Austrian businessman Richard Lugner’s “guest” for $500,000…of course.

All was good until Kim, who looked mighty stunning, was heckled by a man in black face acting like Kanye West. the rude man allegedly asked her to dance, which she declined. In attempt to persuade her, he asked if she’d be in the mood to cut a rug if he requested the orchestra play “N****rs in Vienna.”

To make matters worse, Kim allegedly told people Lugner (who’s known to fork over hefty prices to be courted by starlets) was aggressive with her  and often tried to get her alone. Kim left the soiree early. Lugner bashed Kim in an interview, saying: “Kim is annoying me.”

Two lessons learned: Lugner and the Black face man are creeps and deserve to punched in the balls. That aside, Kim here’s a lesson: stop selling yourself.

Lupita Takes A Selfie With Her Mom

Lupita Nyong’o is on the road to Academy Award glory this weekend at the 2014 Oscars and enjoying each step in her fancy stilettos along the way! Lupita posed for a selfie with her mother at the Essence Black Women In Hollywood event yesterday and we’re like yasss! “Mother-Daughter #Selfie. I am because she is. @lovegoldlive @essencemag Black Women In Hollywood event,” she wrote on Instagram.

The something else amazing happened. Lupita met her inspiration, Sidney Poitier. “AND THEN I met Sidney Poitier!!!!!!!! My Inspiration My Example My Hope My Gold Standard Words cannot express my joy and amazement in having this dream encounter come true. #Blessed! #Oscars @lovegoldlive @essencemag #BlackWomenInHollywood,” she raved.

Chaka Khan Shades Beyonce?

Oop! Don’t call Chaka Khan flawless like Beyonce or she might cut you with a fierce eye roll! The fabulous living legend served some real shade on the red carpet when she stopped to speak with Hollywood Today.

The interviewer complimented Chaka on looking “flawless” like the Beyonce song and Chaka rolled her eyes and whispered something inaudible under her breath. While we won’t go as far as to say she called Bey a “b***h,” that’s what folks are saying.

Maybe she was just tired of the “Flawless” reference.

And cue the Bey hive in 3…2…1
