Mecca Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges. Based in Central Virginia, she’s a clinical supervisor at a Community Services Board and the powerhouse behind The Wellness Destination, her private practice where she guides the next generation of LPC residents. From adolescents to adults, couples to families, Mecca specializes in tackling addiction, depression, trauma, anxiety, and more helping her clients find healing and growth.
Beyond the therapy room, Mecca is a passionate community advocate and a style maven. In 2020, she founded The Style Affect, a bold initiative using fashion to break down mental health stigmas in the Black community. Her advocacy led to Richmond officially recognizing the first week of October as Black Mental Health Week a milestone in bringing awareness to the importance of Black mental health and wellness.
A proud Petersburg, VA native, Mecca holds a Master’s degree in Counselor Education and a Post-Master’s Certification in Professional Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Whether she’s empowering clients, mentoring future counselors, or making waves in the mental health space, Mecca is all about impact and flyness!
